Nursing Assistant / Float Staffing / Part Time / Nights / 24 hrs

Responsibilities

• Aids in providing basic patient care duties including taking vital signs, patient hygiene activities, feeding and bathing of patients, and post-mortem care.
• Administers basic treatments under RN direction, such as preparing special procedure setups, measuring I & O, collecting urine and stools, applying cold/heat packs.
• Performs glucose monitoring.
• Supports the unit by responding to call lights within 2-5 minutes, passing water and linens, locating equipment, stocking supplies, cleaning, and other non-clinical duties as assigned.
• Assists in transporting patients and specimens to the lab.
• Obtains and delivers pharmacy orders as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current AHA BLS certification or obtain within first week of hire through HEART CODE.
