About the role
Responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care
- Assisting with nutritional needs
- Providing comfort care and other assistance
- Appropriately and safely transferring patients
- Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping
- Recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN
- Maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process
- Working within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies
Schedule
- 24 hours per week
- Permanent Night Shift with additional premium $$
- Every other weekend and participation in a holiday rotation
- 8 hour Night Shifts
Qualifications
- BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
- Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program OR current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
Pay
$17.63 - $26.45
