About the role
A certified nursing assistant is needed to work at Oak Crossing, a highly rated long-term care facility in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, operated by Essentia Health.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents
- Serve the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort
- Recognize and deal with the problems of the aging process
- Report changes in resident condition to shift nurse
- Maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents
- Awareness of and prevention of the abuse of vulnerable adults
- Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective actions
Requirements
- No educational requirements
- Certified as a CNA with the state of Minnesota within 4 months of hire
Qualifications
- Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults
- Must maintain awareness of safety issues
- Must strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner
