Nursing Assistant/CNA (part-time/per diem )

About the role

The Boston Home is a 96-bed community for adults with multiple sclerosis and other advanced neurological disorders. Residents often join the community in mid-life and reside for 20+ years. The Nursing Assistant works under the direction of the Staff Nurse and is responsible for providing personal care assistance to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with resident's meals
• Transferring residents using appropriate assistive devices
• Bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming residents
• Interacting with residents and families on a daily basis
• Using customer service skills to ensure residents have an exceptional experience

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in long-term care or related field preferred

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Skills

• Basic computer skills
