Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides assistance with essential activities of daily living and personal care to residents.
- Assists with instrumental activities of daily living to residents.
- Performs medication assistance, including assisting with self-administration of medications.
- Monitors residents' physical and emotional conditions and reports changes to supervisors.
- Conducts room checks and monitors for environmental safety hazards.
- Records incidents, errors, or accidents and records resident and resident-related events.
- Assists with dining tasks, such as escorting residents and serving meals.
- Supports the resident-centered activity program.
- Responds appropriately to emergencies or disasters.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and maintains certifications required for employment.
- Completes required written documentation and participates in staff, educational, and committee meetings.
- Assists with orientation and training of new staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Post High School Vocational / Specialized Training
- Experience: On the Job Training Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current State of Connecticut CNA certificate; CPR Certification preferred.
