Job Summary

A Nursing Assistant - Care Partner at Wellstar serves under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary focus is to promote a positive patient experience by collaborating with the healthcare team, assisting with daily living activities, and providing comfort measures. This role also involves performing basic patient care functions, such as ADLs, ambulation, and vital signs, and assisting with more advanced skills as needed.

Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions

• Excellence in Patient Experience: Partner with the health care team, patient, and family to ensure a positive patient experience.

• Patient-Centered Care: Support the plan of care as assigned or instructed by a licensed professional, engage the patient and family in compliance with the treatment plan, and implement safety interventions to minimize risks.

• Teamwork: Support unit performance improvement initiatives and participate in shared leadership, evidenced-based practice, and ethical accountability.

• Communication: Use effective written and oral communication skills, including AIDET, safety communication techniques, and reporting patient care concerns.

• Safety and Infection Control: Maintain a safe environment for patient care, follow infection control policies, and reinforce the importance of universal precautions.
