Nursing Assistant - 5 South
Provides basic nursing care to patients under direct supervision of an RN; assists RN in observation and care of patients in assigned area(s). Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics) and participates in related continuing education.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of an RN.
- Assist RN in observation and care of patients in assigned areas.
- Deliver care to assigned age-specific patient populations (infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics).
- Participate in continuing education related to patient care.
Requirements
- Coursework/Training: MOAB I/II within 30 to 150 days of hire for employees in Emergency Dept., 2T, and PARC only.
- Satisfactory completion of training for Nursing Assistants.
- CNA certificate, Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD), completion of accredited Nursing Program.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Pay
The posted wage range for this position is $25.00 - $30.67 per hour. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
