Health Care Facilities
- Licensed, regulated, inspected, and/or certified by various agencies including CDPH Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ) and CMS.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Oversees certification of various healthcare professionals and licensing of nursing home administrators.
Job Description
- Conduct inspections, investigations, surveys, and evaluations of health facilities.
- Advise healthcare facility administrators and community agencies on State health facilities inspection, licensing, and certification programs.
- Enforce state and federal laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to areas affecting total patient care.
- Work under the direction of the Nurse Surveyor Supervisor II.
Qualifications
- A valid Registered Nursing (RN) license is required.
- Lower-level licenses such as those of a Vocational Nurse (LVN) are not qualifying for this classification.
Benefits
- Subject to the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025, which includes a 3% monthly base pay reduction in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
Pay
- The salary range is $7,430.00 - $9,757.00.
Schedule
- Extensive travel is required.
