Nurse Supervisor (Registered Nurse)- Nights

Responsibilities

• Administer and supervise the clinical care being provided.
• Responsible for all safety, infection control, and quality of care issues while on duty.
• Aid in performance appraisals, mentoring staff during orientation, and handling disciplinary issues.
• Manage resources and foster a team-like atmosphere.
• Promote compliance with educational requirements and encourage a culture of learning.
• Provide clinical guidance to staff members.
• Implement the staffing plan for your scheduled shift.
• Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including lab results.
• Affirm medical orders are accurately transcribed and processed.
• Show competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Requirements

• Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS certification at the time of hire.
• ACLS certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
