Nurse Residency - Telemetry
About the Role
The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Corpus Christi Medical Center is a year-long, paid program designed to transition new graduate nurses from the classroom to professional practice. The program provides hands-on experience, advanced clinical training in a specialty area, and a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents. Residents participate in monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, skills simulations, mentoring from nurse leaders, and an evidence-based practice project.
The RN Resident coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with state and specialty standards. Using the "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage" nursing model, the Resident collaborates with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized, compassionate care while serving as a patient and family advocate.
