Position Overview

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a contingent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Cardiology team at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary cardiovascular team providing exceptional inpatient cardiology care.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on inpatient general cardiology patients
• Performing cardiology consultations
• Aiding in pre-procedure evaluations and post-procedure management for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization
• Caregiving coordination with cardiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members
• Comprehensive patient assessment and management
• Timely documentation, order entry, and care coordination activities

Qualifications

• 1 Year of Cardiology experience as an APP
• NP or PA graduate from an accredited program
• Current (or in-process) Michigan licensure
• BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)
• PA: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• NP: National certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g., ANCC, AANP)
• DEA / Controlled Substance Licensure PA: DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing
• NP: DEA registration required through credentialing; NPs do not hold a Michigan CSL and will use their Michigan license number during the application process
