Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant | Detroit | Cardiac Surgery | Contingent | Days

Position Overview

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a contingent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Cardiac Surgery team in Detroit, MI. The NP/PA will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and serve as a first-line provider responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination of cardiac surgery patients and their families. This role provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care while working closely with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluation and management
• Development of treatment plans
• Care coordination
• Specialty-specific procedures as indicated by training, experience, and credentialing

Qualifications

• Ambulatory experience preferred
• Cardiovascular experience preferred
• NP or PA graduate from an accredited program
• Current (or in-process) Michigan licensure
• Current (or in-process) national certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
• BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)
