About the Role

Geisinger ConvenientCare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Mount Carmel, PA. Clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems such as sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, and urinary tract infections, and provide routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common medical conditions
• Provide routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services
• Work autonomously with limited administrative burden
• Treat patients from age one and older

Requirements

• Minimum of six months advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care
• For Physician Assistants: Completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility, and Pennsylvania State licensure
• For Nurse Practitioners: Certificate of completion from an approved Nurse Practitioner program or eligibility to hold national certification, and eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support Certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant (Required)
• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant (Preferred)
