Nurse Practitioner, NP / Physician Assistant, PA - General Cardiology

About the role

Join Lankenau Heart Group as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in General Cardiology, working both in an outpatient clinic in Broomall, PA and inpatient at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. In this role, you will perform medical diagnosis and prescribe therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents. You will lead quality and evidence-based care initiatives to achieve optimal patient outcomes while enhancing communication between physicians, family members, and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required; MSN required for Nurse Practitioners.
• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Practitioner or by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
• Certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) or as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
• BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required.
• Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
• Ability to wear a respirator as part of job requirements.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience preferred in Cardiology.
• Minimum of 2 years of Nursing experience in Cardiology preferred.
• New graduates with a Cardiology background or Cardiology clinical rotations will be considered.

Schedule

4-10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a weekend rotation. No holidays.
