About the Role

An Abdominal Transplant Nurse Practitioner I or Physician Assistant I responsible for providing comprehensive care to transplant patients, including liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure thorough patient evaluation.
  • Manage pre- and post-transplant patient care during hospitalization.
  • Coordinate with physicians, surgeons, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on transplant procedures, medications, and post-operative care.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives related to transplant services.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's or Doctorate in Nursing or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in transplant services or inpatient experience for PAs.
