Nurse Practitioner Float - Primary Care

About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to provide float coverage at the VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics in the states where PCS operates. In this role, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to provide world-class healthcare to our US Veterans. Your leadership and clinical expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our Veterans receive the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Examine the patient/client and determine the best course of action while documenting in our paperless health program – The VA’s VISTA/CPRS electronic patient record system.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, communicating with Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to ensure appropriate standards of care.
- Discuss patient outcomes, policies, procedures, and records with Medical Director.
- Complete all clinical reminders to keep each patient up to date in the system.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and graduate of an accredited program for nurse practitioners (MSN required).
- Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine.
- Certification by an applicable professional organization.
- 1 year of clinical medical practice preferred.
- Multiple active state licensure and DEA; maintain credentials at multiple VAMC where PCS operates.
- Current BLS for providers from the American Heart Association (to be renewed annually).
- Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check.
