Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology

About the role

The Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida (CVI) is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their cardiology team in Ocala, FL. This role is open to both new graduates and experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Florida license or actively in the process of obtaining
• Cardiology experience preferred but not required
• New NP and PA graduates with strong interest in cardiovascular medicine welcome
• Strong communicator, team-oriented, patient-focused

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in clinic and hospital settings
• Perform hospital rounding, consults, follow-up visits, and new patient evaluations
• Order and interpret EKGs, labs, imaging, and stress tests
• Develop and implement treatment plans collaboratively with supervising cardiologists
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation
