About the role

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization serving nearly 30,000 people across rural, southwest Alaska. The Sub-Regional Clinic manages patient flow and care coordination, ensuring accurate medical records and optimizing reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate coordinated patient flow and care through the clinic and other providers
• Ensure current and accurate medical records
• Provide information needed to optimize reimbursement for clinic services
• Furnish documentation needed by YKHC to effectively manage the clinic
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the overall clinical practice, functions, and management of the Subregional clinic
• Manage the fiscal, material, and human resources of the department
• Participate in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures
• Maintain interdepartmental communication
• Maintain open communication with department staff to facilitate performance improvement
• Support the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation's Mission Statement

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution. BSN, MSN, or Master’s degree in a health care related field preferred.
• Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of progressive nursing management experience with three years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• License, Certification, Registration: Licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN), and current BLS.
