Nurse Manager RN Surgical Services

About the role

The Manager oversees the daily function and staffing of the unit/department, ensuring high quality, patient-centered care through operationalization of evidence-based practices. They monitor and evaluate nursing care to ensure adherence to standards of care, reduce clinical variation, and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operationalizes evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes
• Maintains compliance with standards of care and regulatory standards
• Facilitates interdisciplinary care coordination and ensures appropriate staffing levels
• Supports patient and family needs assessment and care delivery
• Ensures compliance with evidence-based practices enhancing patient experience and customer service
• Leverages feedback mechanisms to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to foster a supportive team environment
• Engages in service recovery and supports a patient-first philosophy

Requirements

• 1-year of clinical experience as a licensed RN, preferably in Operating Room, OR, CVOR, Perioperative Services, Surgical Center
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• 2 years of leadership experience in a charge or manager role
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• CNOR preferred

Qualifications
