RN Nurse Manager Surgical Services
Job Summary
Manages the daily operations and activities of the Operating Room. Responsible for the management of the department’s daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by Director.
- Planning, preparation and oversight of staff schedules
- Providing input into employee decisions related to hiring, performance assessment and disciplinary actions
Qualifications
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Minimum 3 years of clinical Surgical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/ Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management
