Job Summary
The Clinical Nursing Manager is responsible for managing clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on assigned units. The role involves managing human, fiscal, material, support, and systems resources to achieve and maintain unit or departmental goals.
Responsibilities

- Promote a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers
- Support associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education
Requirements
- 3 years RN experience, required
- 1-year clinical leadership experience, required
- High School GED required
- A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required
- Masters Degree preferred
- Current RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required
- BLS through the American Heart Association
- Sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire or transfer into the role
- Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire or transfer into the role
- Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
Physical Requirements
Medium Work - Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly
Where You'll Work
The Surgery Department at Penrose Hospital has 16 OR suites and performs 30 – 40 cases per day. We specialize in heart, vascular, general, gynecology, urology, ortho, spine, neuro, plastics, robotics, and trauma procedures on adult patients only. Pay Range
$48.04 - $83.48 /hour
