About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with perioperative experience to serve as Nurse Manager of the Operating Room.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a 24/7 Surgical Services department with 16 operating suites
- Manage a team of RNs, LPNs, Surgical Technologists, and PCAs
- Lead operational management
- Develop and manage staff
- Improve quality of care and operational efficiency
- Foster a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years OR RN experience (5+ preferred)
- 1+ year leadership experience
- Current NY RN license and BLS certification
- Strong communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and performance improvement principles
- Certification in clinical area and a Bachelor's degree in nursing are required, with a Master's preferred
