Additional Information About The Role

Barnes-Jewish Hospital Operating Room Manager Hearts Pod 3 manages a team of 100+ staff members with two Assistant Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, Resource Nurses and Staff Educators. Responsibilities include managing a span of control and financial responsibility of > 72 FTE's supervised + > $2.5 million in total expenses OR > 40 FTE's supervised + > $5 million in total expenses. Responsibilities also include hiring, training, assigning work, managing & evaluating performance, conducting professional development plans, developing and adhering to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets, responding to changes in the business, ensuring team compliance with departmental policies, regulatory requirements and professional standards, promoting customer satisfaction, process indicators, quality improvement plans and outcomes in work unit, researching, evaluating, selecting and implementing systems which improve efficiency of work unit operations, and supporting and assisting the growth of existing or new business/programs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Nursing
  • Experience: 2-5 years Supervisor Experience
  • Licenses & Certifications: RN

Preferred Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • Experience: 5-10 years Supervisor Experience
