About the role
The Nurse Manager oversees 24-hour leadership of a high-volume surgical department within a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center, including 27 operating rooms serving patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Main Operating Room
- Develop staffing and resource plans
- Foster a culture of safety and quality
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor quality metrics and ensure compliance
- Recruit and develop staff
- Align departmental goals with organizational strategies
- Support professional growth and compliance standards
Requirements
- Current RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Progressive perioperative leadership experience
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Master’s degree
- CNOR certification
- Experience in a large surgical environment
