Nurse Manager - Operating Room

About the Role

A Nurse Manager is sought for a high-volume surgical department in a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center with 27 Operating Rooms. This role requires a focus on operational excellence, staff engagement, patient satisfaction, and achieving clinical outcomes within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflow and care delivery.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement evidence-based practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a skilled perioperative team.
• Support professional growth, competency, and performance excellence.
• Align departmental goals with organizational and nursing strategies.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Progressive perioperative leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Leadership experience in a Level I Trauma Center or large surgical environment
• CNOR certification
