About the Role
Join Riverside Community Hospital as a Nurse Manager of PACU, where you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the PACU, Pre-Op Holding Area, and Pre-Admission Testing. This role involves maintaining safe staffing patterns, delegating assignments based on skill and patient acuity, and actively collaborating with ancillary departments to resolve patient issues. You will report medically to the Department of Anesthesia and administratively to the Director of Perioperative Services.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in PACU, Pre-Op Holding Area, and Pre-Admission Testing.
- Maintain safe staffing patterns and delegate staff assignments based on skill and patient acuity.
- Interface daily with ancillary departments to identify and resolve patient care issues.
- Report medically to the Department of Anesthesia and administratively to the Director of Perioperative Services.
Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course.
- BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- CCRN or CPAN certification preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- AA Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in PACU or Critical Care Units.
- Minimum one-year management experience in PACU or Critical Care.
- Excellent computer, teaching, and coaching skills.
