Nurse Manager of Organ Transplant

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO), the Nurse Manager shares 24-hour accountability and additional responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of the department. Functions will be performed in accordance with the nurse practitioner in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

Functions as an interdisciplinary team member. Accepts responsibility for assurance that quality patient care is provided consistently according to hospital and departmental standards and policies/procedures. Accepts accountability and responsibility for achievement of operational and capital budget goals.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing with Bachelors of Science in Nursing required. Masters of Science in Nursing or other related field preferred. 3 years’ experience in Medical Surgical Unit required.
• Licensure, Certifications, Training: Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact State if you declare the Compact State your Primary State of Residence required. BLS (Basic Life Support) required. National certification in area of expertise preferred.
