Nurse Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, professional, mission-aligned work environment.
• Supervise CMAs, RNs, LPNs, Vaccine Coordinators, and other assigned staff.
• Provide effective onboarding, ongoing training, and skills development for non-provider clinical staff.
• Lead efficient team meetings, huddles, and communication touchpoints.
• Support care coordination and clinical decision-making to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Provide direct patient care within RN scope as needed.
• Identify and act on opportunities to improve patient care processes; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate clinical competency for 90-day and annual performance reviews; document results and provide coaching or remediation.
• Maintain required logs, records, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with management and monitoring of clinical supplies and equipment.
• Oversee the environment of care, ensuring adherence to infection control, safety, and emergency response policies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of vaccine coordination processes—including VFC and private inventory management, temperature monitoring, NJIIS documentation, and VFC site survey requirements.

Qualifications

• RN; BSN required
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience
• 1+ year of ambulatory care experience, FQHC preferred
• 1+ year of supervisory/managerial experience
• Current BLS certification
• Valid NJ driver’s license and reliable transportation

Total Compensation Range

The total compensation range for this position is USD $80,000 to USD $135,000. When determining an offer, VNACJ CHC considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions.
