Nurse Manager

Job Description

Oversees 24-hour nursing care for assigned unit in compliance with policies, regulations, and long-term care standards.

Captures care across disciplines to ensure continuity, quality, and resident satisfaction.

Led quality assurance initiatives, conducts audits, and implements corrective actions.

Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff; manages schedules, performance, and staffing needs.

Maintains accurate medical records, ensures compliance with medication procedures, and participates in care plan meetings, surveys, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Provides clinical support, restorative care oversight, and effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams while fostering a positive, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN or LPN License from the State of Maryland.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in geriatric nursing including two (2) years of experience as a Charge Nurse/Manager in geriatric care with progressive experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity.
• Current CPR required.
• IV certification preferred.
