Job Summary

Safeguards adherence to standards of care.

Supports efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.

Safeguards compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Maintains regular equipment maintenance according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.

Manages admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.

Facilitates effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.

Safeguards appropriate clinical competencies of staff to meet patient care needs.

Manages nursing practice and unit operations.

Maintains monitoring and evaluation of the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met.

Provides leadership in attaining and sustaining unparalleled patient experience.

Leverages various feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance and identify opportunities to improve patient satisfaction.

Collaborates with subject matter experts and other leaders to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.

Represents the organization positively within the community; participates in company-supported community/patient events and in-services.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required 5+ years applicable experience required.
• Licensure and Certifications: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS required. Professional Nursing Certification required (within 12 months of hire).

Hospital City Lewisville is a full-service 190+ bed medical and surgical facility. We offer a broad spectrum of care to the communities of southern Denton County. Our patient tower has two floors dedicated to women’s services. We have a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Medical City Lewisville is a Level III Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center.
