About the role
We are looking for a Nurse Manager of Med Surg to join our Medical City Denton team. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s). The Manager coordinates and supervises unit activities to support safe and efficient care delivery, assists the Department Director with Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures, quality outcomes, and financial management of the Unit.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care on the assigned unit(s).
- Coordinate and supervise unit activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery of care.
- Assist the Department Director in implementing Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures, and quality outcomes.
- Manage the financial aspects of the unit.
- Cultivate a strong team and foster staff buy-in for HCA methodologies.
- Maintain a strong presence within the unit.
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to pivot as needed.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Texas or Compact license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- 5+ years of clinical experience required.
- 2+ years of management experience required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
