Nurse Manager of Med Surg
About the Role
We are seeking a Nurse Manager of Med Surg to promote growth and unlock possibilities at Medical City Frisco, an HCA Healthcare facility. The Nurse Manager manages a defined patient care area to provide a climate optimal for individualized, goal-directed nursing care that supports the mission, vision, and values of Medical City Frisco and the Department of Nursing. The role fosters an environment where nurses practice autonomously using evidence-based practices and is responsible for planning and providing nursing care that protects the health, safety, and rights of patients, families, and communities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a defined patient care area to ensure a climate conducive to high-quality, individualized nursing care.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Medical City Frisco and the Department of Nursing.
- Promote an environment where nurses practice autonomously using evidence-based practices.
- Plan and provide goal-directed nursing care that advocates for and supports the nursing staff’s commitment to patient health and safety.
Requirements
- BSN required; MSN or Master’s in a related field (or currently in progress) preferred.
- Active RN license.
- National specialty certification or plan to achieve within 1 year of hire.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing management.
