About the role
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s). The Manager also coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, which supports the safe and efficient delivery of care. The Manager assists the Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures, quality outcomes, and financial management of the Unit.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Texas or Compact license
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing required
- 5+ years of clinical experience required
- 2+ years management experience required
- Strong time management abilities
- Strong communication – willing to have the difficult conversations
- Ability to cultivate a strong team and get buy in from staff on the HCA way and ability to explain the why behind decisions
- Must have a strong presence within the unit
- Must be flexible with changes and have the ability to pivot when needed
- Looking for someone who is driven, coachable, and has a team oriented approach
