Nurse Manager - NICU - FT Day
This position will work full time, 8-hour day shifts at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. Providence St. Jude Medical Center was designated as a Magnet organization in 2015 and 2020 by the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program, recognizing excellence in nursing services. About the role
Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing, and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units. Oversees the 24-hour operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, budget preparation, fiscal management, staffing, planning, employee relations, patient satisfaction, practice guidelines for specialty, organizing, and controlling. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patients' nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and manage nursing care for a designated patient population.
- Oversee 24-hour operation of the patient care unit, including leadership, budgeting, fiscal management, staffing, and planning.
- Ensure high standards of patient satisfaction and employee relations.
- Develop and implement programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across hospital functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- California Registered Nurse License (upon hire).
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
- National specialty certification (within 1 year of hire).
- 5 years of recent experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Computer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or related field.
- Supervisory experience.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $74.54 - $117.65 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Schedule
Full time, 8-hour day shifts.
