About the role

Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing, and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population. Oversees the 24-hour operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, organizing, and controlling. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patients' nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and manage nursing care for a designated patient population.
• Oversee 24-hour operation of the patient care unit, including fiscal management and staffing.
• Develop and implement programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Foster collaborative working relationships across hospital functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 20 years of clinical nursing experience AND either a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree.
• California Registered Nurse License (upon hire).
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (upon hire).
• 6 years of related Nursing experience.
• 3 years of Nursing leadership experience.
• Computer experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree.
• Specialty certificate based on unit (upon hire).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $89.73 - $141.64 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This is a full-time position working 8-hour day shifts.
