About the role
The Nurse Manager of NICU is responsible for overseeing the delivery of quality patient care within the neonatal intensive care unit. They plan, direct, and manage nursing staff, ensuring optimal practice environments, staffing, budgeting, and adherence to practice guidelines. The role involves leadership, collaboration across hospital functions, development of policies and standards, and fostering a patient-centered care culture. The manager also supervises operations, manages employee relations, and ensures patient satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in nursing; California RN license required
- National Provider BLS certification
- Within 1 year: National specialty certification
- At least 5 years of recent acute hospital experience
- Proficiency in computer systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or related field
- Supervisory experience
