Nurse Manager - Labor and Delivery

About the role

Supervise and coordinate nursing care on the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of care, and supporting performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff hiring, scheduling, performance evaluation, staff development, and discipline
• Serve as clinical resource
• Participate in financial planning and unit management
• Conduct staff meetings and in-services
• Maintain clinical standards
• Seek process improvements

Qualifications

• Current TX RN license or RN Compact
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, CPI/NVCI or SAMA certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience with leadership abilities
• Prior management experience preferred
• Ongoing education in fetal monitoring and related courses
