About the Role
Develops and maintains systems to ensure high patient, employee, and physician satisfaction in Labor & Delivery and Antepartum services.
Responsibilities
- Oversees 24-hour operations for Labor & Delivery and Antepartum services
- Ensures adequate staffing and productivity
- Manages patient care processes and documents care
- Facilitates interdisciplinary communication
- Participates in committees
- Develops unit competencies
- Supervises staff
- Implements quality improvement initiatives
- Monitors employee attendance
- Develops OB service programs
- Ensures patient safety and satisfaction
- Supports department policies and standards
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications (obtained within 30 days of employment)
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification (obtained within 30 days of employment)
Skills
- Strong leadership and strategic planning
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards
