Nurse Manager II, Full Time, Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit

About the role

The RN – Nurse Manager II is primarily responsible for the organization and implementation of daily unit operations of one or more specific nursing units. This individual facilitates, coordinates, and evaluates unit activities for the provision of quality patient care. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
• Act as a role model by providing direction in the application of the nursing process, quality/performance improvement standards, and organizational/departmental goals and objectives.
• Allocate and manage human resources in assigned areas.
• Assist in the development of long-term and short-term goals, objectives, policy development, and priority setting for the Nursing Department.

Requirements

• Education/Experience: Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 2 years staff nurse experience with progressive experience in nursing and nursing management required.
• Licenses/Certifications: Active RN licensure required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned.

The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with first shift availability.
