Nurse Manager Emergency Department

About the role

The Nurse Manager at MultiCare leads nursing staff with a dynamic nursing practice and oversees overall department operations. This role requires defining, developing, and monitoring standards of patient care and nursing practices, ensuring availability and appropriate allocation of human and material resources, supporting collaboration among nursing, physicians, and other disciplines, and coordinating operations and resource provision.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and monitor standards of patient care and nursing practices
• Ensure availability and appropriate allocation of human and material resources
• Support successful collaboration between nursing, physicians, and other disciplines to achieve desired patient care outcomes and department strategic plans
• Cook up-to-date towards the overall operations of assigned units and the provision of resources
• Facilitate optimal and cost-efficient patient care delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
• Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
• Five (5) years of clinical experience in professional or technical role/function
• Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity

Pay and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The pay scale for this position ranges from $146,409.12 to $202,194.72 USD. Specific pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, years of experience, and certifications/education.
