Nurse Manager Cath Lab & EP Lab

About the Role

Lead a growing cardiovascular procedural services team overseeing four Cardiac Cath Labs, three Electrophysiology Labs, and CV Lab operations. This full‑time day‑shift position provides clinical, operational, and strategic leadership for Registered Nurses, Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists/Technologists, and Patient Transport staff. The team is dedicated to advancing cardiovascular care through innovation, collaboration, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary

The Nursing Cath Lab Manager promotes a helpful work environment where patients, families, and staff receive compassionate care. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and assessing policies; managing budgets and resources; overseeing quality improvement; organizing educational programs; and participating in governance councils to meet organizational priorities.

Essential Functions

• Formulate and convey a clear plan for nursing procedures within the assigned area.
• Involve supervisors and team members in establishing and achieving departmental priorities.
• Establish a positive work atmosphere through shared management structures and research‑based nursing protocols.
• Encourage professional growth of team members in clinical and leadership skills.
• Stay updated on research‑based practices and leverage this knowledge to improve care standards.
• Promote a therapeutic environment for patients, families, and nursing staff.
• Represent nursing staff in addressing concerns of patients, families, and team members.
• Facilitate educational opportunities for patients, families, nursing staff, and the community.
• Incorporate the organization’s mission and goals into strategies for staff and patients.
• Participate passionately in governance and decision‑making processes to enhance nursing procedures and workplace conditions.

Required Experience

• Current RN licensure.
• Progressive leadership experience.
• Experience in Cath Lab, EP Lab, Interventional Cardiology, or Procedural Services.
• Leadership and team development skills.
• Physician relationship management.
• Patient flow and operational excellence.
• Quality, regulatory, and accreditation oversight (TJC; Magnet preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar nursing role.
• Required certifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – if not already certified, must be completed within 30 days of hire or transfer.
