Nurse Manager - Atrium Health Pineville Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

About the role

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a CVOR Nurse Manager to lead and advance their Cardiovascular Operating Room Service Line. The position is centered on innovation, collaboration, and excellence, supporting outstanding outcomes and operational efficiency in two new ORs equipped with advanced technology.

Responsibilities

• Guides a high-performing surgical team of RNs and Surgical Technologists
• Partners with nationally recognized cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons
• Supports outstanding outcomes and operational efficiency in two new ORs
• Works in collaboration with interdisciplinary partners to achieve high-quality patient outcomes
• Ensures unit operations and employees comply with regulatory standards and policies
• Recruits and retains qualified staff and ensures appropriate orientation, education, credentialing, and professional development
• Delegates effectively and promotes shared governance
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications
• Provides and assesses patient and family education
• Participates in performance improvement activities to improve quality of nursing care and promote patient outcomes
• Develops and implements policies, procedures, and standards reflective of evidence-based practice
• Allocates resources to meet unit needs
• Assumes responsibility for budgetary oversight and maintains a cost-effective unit

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
• Previous management experience preferred
• BLS required per policy guidelines
• Professional certification (clinical or leadership) within 1 year of eligibility for the exam

Pay

$51.05 - $76.60 per hour
