Role Overview: The Nurse Manager Med Surg oversees a 28-bed unit dedicated to medical and telemetry patients, ensuring exceptional patient care, staff development, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management: Leads clinical, human, financial, and material resources; fosters a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration; manages staff recruitment, retention, and performance through shared governance and relationship-based care.Quality & Safety: Maintains compliance with safety and regulatory standards; proactively mitigates risks; promotes evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives.Communication & Collaboration: Builds strong partnerships with staff, physicians, and departments; ensures effective communication and accountability; resolves conflicts and promotes a positive work environment.Staff Development: Supports professional growth; oversees onboarding and orientation; models high ethical and professional standards.Financial & Operational Oversight: Manages budgets; employs lean and quality strategies to optimize performance and resource utilization; advances service line growth.
