About the Role
The Nurse Extern provides hands-on support to the nursing team, assisting with patient care and gaining experience in the Registered Nurse scope.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, mobility, hygiene, wound care, specimen collection, and basic procedures.
- Document care accurately and communicate updates to the nursing team.
- Educate patients and families about care plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment following infection prevention standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors for growth and development.
Requirements
- Must hold Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
- Must be a certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
