About the Role
Provide essential patient care in a Medical Cardiology Stepdown unit as a PRN Nurse Extern.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor vital signs, support mobility, and maintain patient comfort and hygiene.
- Perform basic nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection.
- Document care accurately and communicate updates to the nursing team.
- Educate patients and families about care plans.
- Ensure a safe environment by following infection control practices.
- Support continuous learning and professional growth through collaboration with supervisors and preceptors.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited nursing program.
- NC (CNA) certification.
