About the role
The Nurse Evaluator III will perform as the first level supervisor and as a highly skilled technical program advisor and as a recognized authority in areas of extreme sensitivity or complexity of care, in order to meet the needs of the Community Care Licensing Division.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of Nurse Evaluator II staff performing reviews in facilities throughout California to provide clinical assessments and clinical record reviews for the purpose of identifying levels of care to meet each resident's needs as well as developing guidelines for regional offices inspecting facilities licensed by the CCLD.
- Develop and plan clinical activities of the licensing requirements and issues related to clinical care provided in licensed and unlicensed facilities.
- Apply knowledge and application of regulations, laws, waiver and State policies and procedures in detailed and sensitive public contact.
- Carry out responsibilities including some travel.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with skills specific to developing, planning, coordinating, clinical activities of the licensing requirements and issues related to clinical care provided in licensed and unlicensed facilities.
Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this position include:
- A current valid RN license.
- Experience in clinical assessment and clinical record reviews.
- Ability to develop and plan clinical activities of the licensing requirements and issues related to clinical care provided in licensed and unlicensed facilities.
- Knowledge of regulations, laws, waiver and State policies and procedures.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and complex situations.
- Proficiency in using computer software for documentation and record keeping.

Pay
$7,674.00 - $10,249.00 per year.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule with some travel required.
