Job Responsibilities
- Captures plans for the total care of each resident that align with physician's orders, regulatory requirements, and facility policies.
- Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff and monitors their implementation.
- Participates in admission decisions and visits prospective residents as needed.
- Attends daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel issues, and resident complaints or concerns.
- Safeguards the delivery of compassionate, quality care and nursing supervision through adequate services, staff coverage, odor control, cleanliness, prevention of pressure wounds, and maintenance of optimal resident functions.
Qualifications
- Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
- Five years of experience in long-term or acute healthcare preferred.
- At least two years of nursing supervisory experience required.
