About the role
The RN Educator at Flagler Hospital is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical education programs for hospital employees and community members.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains clinical education programs for Flagler Hospital employees and members of the community.
- Develops unit-specific orientation programs, educational programs, and computer-based learning modules.
- Captures annual competency validation for staff.
- Captures student programs.
- Serves as a primary resource person for Flagler Hospital employees with regards to clinical education and training programs.
- Provides educational offerings through a variety of media including lectures, written materials, on-line presentations, role-playing and other media, as appropriate.
- Complies with education-related record keeping requirements.
- Affords assistance with the development of policies and procedures, related to clinical education programs.
- Maintains current working knowledge of Federal, State, and Joint Commission requirements as applied to development and implementation of educational programs.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years Clinical Nursing
- Licenses: Active FL Nursing License, Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferences
- Experience with analysis and interpretation of federal, state, and accrediting body regulations
- Experience in use of performance improvement-related statistics in evaluating program effectiveness
- Experience with development and implementation of clinical education programs required including experience in formal program evaluation
Additional Information
- BLS, provided by American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of hire.
