Nurse Educator

About the Role

Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors who have a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success. This position involves instructing in the Nursing Program, specifically in the Human Body (HBHD) course on the following schedule: Mondays 8am-11am, Wednesdays 8am-11am, and Thursdays 11:30am-4pm (Lab).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
• Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses.
• Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.

Requirements

• MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) required.
• Valid State RN License required.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that will contribute to student learning.
