About the Role
Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors who have a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success. This position involves instructing students in the Human Body (HBHD) course on the following schedule: Mondays 8am-11am, Wednesdays 8am-11am, and Thursdays 11:30am-4pm (Lab).
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
- Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
- Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
- Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
- Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience progress and competency.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education, in-service training, and academic courses.
- Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.
Requirements
- MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) required.
- Valid State RN License required.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

- Ability to supervise students in the clinical environment.

- Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that contributes to student learning.
